Don't spend time worrying about the past and feeling guilty about what you didn't do.
There is nothing you can do about it, so why waste time thinking about it?
When I reflect on my past I am shocked at how much time and money I have wasted.
If I were to spend most of my time regretting this, I would feel too depressed to try and achieve anything useful in the time I have left.
Some people become suicidal when they repeat sad or disappointing events from their past.
These can dominate their thinking so much that they no longer wish to live.
Instead, focus on your future and how you can improve it.
Visualise the future you want and then take action to achieve it.
This future-oriented attitude will free your mind of a lot of the burden of the past that can push you into a state of hopelessness and helplessness.
When you are facing a problem, do not spend too much time thinking about the problem.
Instead, focus on the solution and imagine what it means to have overcome the problem Look beyond the problem.
I recently went to a seminar where a blackboard was used as a symbol of obstacles and problems.
Participants were asked to break the board.
They were told not to focus too much on the board (the obstacle) but to imagine their hand going through the board and beyond.
To be able to break the board, you must also hit the centre of the board with precision and with maximum force.
To sum it up, let's fill our minds with thoughts for a great future.
Let's not worry too much about the obstacles and problems that could destroy that future.
With faith and determination we can break through these things in free space.
